Disgaea 5 Information board
Introduction
This game has so much involved that it is easy to get lost, so with this i try to give some pointers on what is what.
Unlocking All Classes
To unlock new classes you need to meet the requirements listed next to the Class you want to unlock. And Complete the a unlock quests from the quest giver unlucked later in the game
For example: To unlock the Brawler you first need to recruite a Brawler at the Recruiter and then level him up in rank. Rank is a hidden stat that diffrence for all Characters so the tougher the Enemies to faster you rank will grow but Rank is also depended on the Class your trying to rank so you will note that a Sage will take longer to rank then a Fighter. (Think of it like a Fighter is a beginners class and the Sage more advanced)
Archer - Fighter Rank 2 and Healer Rank 2
Armor Knight - Fighter Rank 3 and Brawler Rank 3
Black Knight - Wrestler Rank 2, Lady Samurai Rank 2, Ninja Rank 2
Celestial Host (Male) - Magic Knight Rank 2, Healer Rank 3
Gunner - Fighter Rank 2 and Mage Rank 2
Lady Samurai - Archer Rank 2 and Fighter Rank 3
Magic Knight - Fighter Rank 3 and Mage Rank 3
Ninja - Thief Rank 2 and Brawler Rank 3
Pirate - Maid Rank ,3 Gunner rank 2 and Archer Rank 2
Professor - Maid Rank 2 and Gunner Rank 2
Sage - Magic Knight Rank 4 and Professor Rank 2
Thief - Brawler Rank 2
Wrestler - Armor Knight Rank 2 and Fighter Rank 3
Here's where things get a tad bit trickier. To get your monster class on, you'll need to either hand in items or kill certain creatures. All of the classes in the game are unlocked via the Quests. Monster classes typically require you to either hand in a certain item or kill something specific.
Bear - Hand in 3 Muscle items.
Chimera - Kill 3 INT monster weapons (grey onea).
Dragon King - Hand in any Fire element weapon.
Fairy - Hand in Fairy Dust.
Felynn - Hand in five Fist weapons.
Flora Beast - Hand in three Heal Items.
Horseman - Hand in any Spear weapon (Legendary or better).
Imp - Hand in any item.
Nether Noble - Hand in either an Angel Cake or a Gold Bar.
Nine-Tails - Hand in any Secret Treasure (Imperial Seal or similar).
Orc - Hand in any item.
Prinny - Available from beginning.
Rabbit - Kill 3 Imps.
Sea Angel - Hand in any Heal % Item.
Shroom - Kill 3 Mushroom Objects (go to Demunshroom area).
Sludge - Hand in unopened Soda.
Slumber Cat - Hand in a Sardine.
Succubus - Hand in five Strange Feelers (ATK monster weapon).
Twin Dragon - Hand in any Orb item (Rare or better).
Undead - Hand in an ATK monster weapon (red one).
Winged Warrior - Kill 1 Archer.
How to get one time bonus?
There are a few options... Evilities that give bonus boosts, Fillers collected in the item world or with the Alchemy Shop, Assembly Boosts or Creating 4 Archers with low attack and no weapons equipped and let them do 0 damage on the enemies in combo.

To unlock the Archer Class you need to complete the Hunter Intern quest that needs you to have a fighter and Healer (cleric) rank 2.
Assembly?
It's like a senate where you can unlock features of the game, There is more to unlock the further you progresses in the game, The rules are simple... get a majority Yea and it passes, get a No! And you gone need to make a choice to give up or beat the senators or even bribe your way. You can get the senators to vote more in your Favre by giving them items they like, like weapons, gear, and..., there are also items like Gold Bars or Angle Cake you can collect to make this easy on you.

What is the Quest shop?
Quest shop is unlocked after clearing 1-2 Shrivelled Vein. And it has two types of quests, Green and white quests, Green quests are one time per play-trough quests and White quests are repeatable. Note that you can change page to read what you need to do to complete them.
What is the Skill Shop?
Let's you learn new Evilities or upgrade skills, you need Mana as currency gotten from killing monsters. Some Evilities only unlock at higher Tiers of your Main/Subclass.
Evilities and Subclasses?
Evilities Can be learned at the Skill Shop, at the beginning there is not much to get here other then boosts for Xp/Mana/Class/Stats, but when you start mastering subclasses it opens more possibilities, as en example let look at the Thief, She has Evilities that makes here unique like Thief Skills or Lucky Fingers, but what if you don't want to play with this Character?
There is what Subclasses comes in, going in to the Assembly you find a line called Change Sub Class, by ranking up in the thief class all her Evilities become available to you, note that in order to learn her Unique Evility called Thief Skill you need to master the class. The speed on how fast you master the class depend on the how strong the enemies are. In the beginning it might be a good plan to make planes on what you want to do with that character you levelling. But when you Reach the End Game stage, Learning new Classes is swift work.
Also note that if you have a subclass mastered on one character you can share Evilities trough Chara World, this will save you some grinding in the beginning.
Squad Shop?
The Squad Shop has lots of Squads that you unlock from playing the game, most of them are us-full in there own way, like the capture & interrogate shop. that let's you capture enemies with the skills gotten from the Capture Squad and later on interrogate them for multiple use like levelling up squads or Ectracting them in to stat potions.
Some Squad are needed to unlock other Shops, like the Cury Shop or the Innocent shop, But then i hear you asking... Who do i put in what Squad? well that is up to you but here are some pointers,
* Mao (Disgaea 3 DLC) Has an Evility that when Leader of the Alchemy shop let's you use Chara World items.
Improved Alchemy
* Raspberyl (Disgaea 3 DLC) Has an Evility that increases the growth of innocents by 3%
Innocent Classes
* Salvatore (Disgaea 3 DLC) Has an evility that makes here extort better in the interrogation Squad.
T Interrogator
* Metallia (Metallia DLC) Has an evility that Halves the HP of captured Enemies.
Mental Pain
* Sapphire (Disgaea 3 DLC2) Has an evility that increases the item world invasions.
Bring It On!
* A Sage can be us-full in the Hunter Team because of here skill
Land Decimator
Note that for the Research Squad, when on Research these unites can't be used in battle because there out exploring for you.
Capture and Interrogator Squad?
If you want to level up squads or make essence out of your prisoners you need these two squads, now granted that you can use the Megaphone Special weapon to capture enemies later on and more with ease with a sage equipping it in the second slot. The Capture squad gives you a skill to Capture enemies you kill, and when back in your base you can use your interrogator (Salvatore) to whip them up.
Innocent Shop?
In the beginning of the game there is not much use for this shop other then tossing Innocents around and storing them but after you reach Episode 9 you can start to grow and multiply innocents, like stated above, Raspberyl is the best character to use as leader.
Cheat Shop?
Is this Cheating? The answer is No you Demon!!! after you unlock this from the Assembly you can adjust the difficulty by making monster higher in level or put restrictions on your self or... adjusting Exp,Mana,Money... eared at the expense of others. So you don't have to put your self off by the Name Cheat Shop, because you gone need this shop allot.
Item World
Like any Disgaea game, the item world is the most important part of the game. Here you can level up items to make them stronger, Capture Innocents by killing them when you encounter them, getting better items by stealing or looting them, or flat out duplicating them.
Capturing Innocents
When starting out you gone need to capture a lot of innocents, putting some ranged characters in the Innocent Capturing squad and changing the item Rout to Innocent Enhanced Route (route choice can be done in the item town every 10 levels) can help with this, A Tip I can give you is Use the Key or any rank 1 item so that you don't need to fear the monster levels you encounter.
Duplicating Items
This is based on luck and having a runner character with the right evilities equiped, For this I use a Ninja with Sasuke Increase movement by 1 and jump by 12 (rank3 Ninja), Explorer If unite is on the map when clearing a floor increased chance on mystery room (Rank 2 Pirate), Secret Recon Increased movement by 5 by hp becomes 1 (rank 4 Ninja), Magical Minicraft Changes movement to fly type (random reward Demon lord Chara World), Booster Movement increased by 1 (random Reward Demon Chara World) And The best Shoe items I can get, This will net you 23 movement if you gone trough Chara World with him to unlock some more movement and will let you fly true Item World Make sure to us the Mystery room boost route.
Making Items stronger
When trying to go for that perfect rank 40 LOC item, there are a few things that you need to do to make it as strong as possible, one is clearing floors by killing enemies at there strongest, this means you need to be very strong your self, then there is the clearing of mystery rooms and killing Item Bosses along the way. Placing Maxed out innocents to further improve the stats is also recommended. I include this guide by Voxel Star that explains it better:
How do i learn Tower attack?
You make a tower of characters and attack, the more you do this the more tower skills you learn.
Alchemy Shop
You unlock this at the end of the Main Story line, put Mao as leader with his Improved Alchemy Evility equipped. The alchemy Shop creates items for free over time, Upgrading the Squad let's you make Fillers to fill the bonus gauge.
Curry Shop
With the curry shop you can make your own curry, Not only that but you can have that effect for 100 battles. (Please note that in order for you to enjoy the 100 days of Curry you need to let it cook for 100 days. So go fight 100 Stages of item world or something)
One Recipe that you might want to try is the following:
Main : Curry item – Give you HP/SP Regen
Sub 1 : Xp potion – Give you an XP Bonus
Sub 2 : Shoes – Gives you a +1 Movment bonus
Other : 100 Fist Weapons – Gives you +100% Crit Chance
Early Levelling
With the Cheat shop unlocked you can adjust enemy at your pleasure, using this mechanic 2 maps to use for early Levelling are 2-1 and 4-2
For 2-1 The strategy is simple, Throw the Yellow Geo Symbol somewhere on the blue tiles, now if you are going for loot? Destroy the Yellow Symbol. If your going for EXP then destroy the Green Symbol.
For 4-2 There is nothing special in the way you get trough this, but when difficulty of the map is set to 16 in the Cheat Shop, the monster will all be exactly level 99. this will level you high enough to beat the main storyline.
Mid Game levelling
By the end of the Main storyline and after completing it you get to unlock Martial Training Map, Clearing them changes the Geo Symbols in to 100% Exp With map 1 having enemies level 99 if you have the cheat Shop at rank 1. And if you have 900 Statisticians levelling will become easy as stealing Candy ;)
So how do you unlock this all then?
*The first map is available at the start of Chapter 8 and cost 1000 Mana to unlock.
*The Second map is available in chapter 11 and cost 5000 Mana.
*The Third map at the beginning of chapter 15 for 10.000 Mana.
*The fourth Map when your in the post game for 50.000 Mana.
*The Fifth Map you need to first unlock Restore Toto Bunny for 5000 Mana that will unlock the Chapter The Cursed Witch (Note enemy level are 300 on the first map, 500 on the second) Then you need to unlock Pursue powerful energies 10,000 Mana this will unlock Possessed by the Heart (Note enemy level are 500 on the first map and 800 on the second map, a 1000 on the third map) And then finally unlock the last Master Martial Map for 100,000 Mana
Unlocking Land Of Carnage
After Clearing Possessed by Hearth there are some things you need to complete to gain access to Land of Carnage, here is a list of what you need to do:
Complete Quest : God of an Item
Complete Quest : Bloodthirsty Den
Complete Quest : Master Researcher
Complete Quest : Chara World Victory
After Clearing each Quest you get new Quests that have to be complete:
Complete Quest : Violent Challenger
Complete Quest : Beautiful Assassin
Complete Quest : Only Victors Wanted
Complete Quest : Harbinger
After this you are given a pop-up that a new bill is available in the Assembly, that needs passing, after this a new Chapter will be available at the dimension gate called Carnage dimension (Enemy level range from 1500-2000), these 3 stages need to be complete in order to get access to the Carnage Dimension Gate.
Evility slots
Unique slots:
- Unlocked by Default
- Pass the bill Equip Unique Evility (after beating the main story)
- Land the Killing blow on the Prinny Overlord at the Overture Downfall stage. (this is repeatable)
- Land the killing blow on Dark in the Evil God of Tyranny Stage. (Land of Carnage, repeatable)
Common Slots:
- 1-12 unlocks from levelling to 9999
- 13-17 choice reward from completing any Chara World
- 18-20 Defeat Miss Evil in Chara world (Overlord difficulty)

I feel like I have added anything that might be confusing to new player, if something is still not clear then ask in the comments, but before you ask "what about endgame?"
